Canoeing safari to the Oulujoki estuary

In Oulu we are lucky, as our sea area and the Oulujoki estuary offer great and sheltered routes for kayaking. This safari gives you the opportunity to experience Oulu from a completely different perspective.

A kayaking safari from Nallikari to Oulujokisuisto is designed just for you. You don't need any previous experience in kayaking, but the safari is sure to provide a pleasant experience for the more experienced paddler.

The safari is safely guided by our knowledgeable and experienced guides. Before setting out on the water, you will be trained in the basics of kayaking and we will go over all the necessary safety issues so that you can enjoy your trip with confidence. The kayaks we use are particularly easy for beginners. They are sturdy and directionally stable paddles.

The route offers both natural beauty and cultural landscape, as the safari takes you from Nallikar to the scenic Mustasalmi via Oulujokisuisto to the stunning and diverse landscapes of the Oulujoki Estuary. We circle the numerous islands in the estuary, and may also visit Torinranta. Nallikari is one of the official landing places for the Oulujokisuisto kayaking route, with three different water channels leading to the Oulujokisuisto. For faster groups, the return route to Nallikari may be different from the return route.
